thanks hiking,

I use a gloss coat to help set the eyes ans a dry cement when I finish tying on the head..

They look like they turned out pretty nice.[up]The teasers that I tie for fluke and weakfish look similar but I noticed the get torn up pretty fast when tied directly to the hook either from the fish's teeth or from my pliers when removing it.What I do now is go to comerce bank and grab a handful of the free pens everytime I visit and take the pens apart and cut a piece of the clear end of the ink resivoir tube and cut it into 1/4 in. bits.I then tie the teaser to the plastic tube and insert the leader through it so when a fish is set,the teaser slides up the leader away from the hook.Once you get it down ,it works like a charm.

Nice looking teasers, good job. My friend ties me a couple every year in olive and white and they catch fish. What I did notice with mine was that when he tied with red on it they didn't hit it. Like to see how yours work out.

I will have to try this..

I tied the red thinking it may look like bleeding bait.. I will use diffrent string also..

One thing I noticed about the really large size flounder we caught over the last few years was the majority of them had other baby flounder in their stomach along with a ton of mantis shrimp .So, this year I tied brown and white colored bucktail teasers and will give them a shot this summer.Until now ,green and chartruese seem to be the big hits with the flounder and pink or green with the weakfish.

I will also be tying some brown and whites, I tied these thinking I would try to represent spearing, sand eel, mullet/herring and just your basic chartruse/pink with white..just tryng to match baitfish ect...
