I'm 10 minutes away myself MCR. I tried calling the number I found for the place, but it just keeps ringing off the hook. If anyone has any info, please pass it along.

 

your best bet is to just show up on a saturday afternoon and plead your case. it's the long gated driveway on the left before you hit the nun retreat as you head towards madison. i have friends and a relative that are members. when i need to i go as a guest. good luck.

 

I saw the gate with all the postings. I wasnt sure that was it or not. The address listed online says #90 but that is the retreat. Are they only around on Saturdays?

 

you may find some guys there during the week. i think they can't shoot b4 11:00am on sundays. if the gate is open, someone is there. just drive in, the club house is on the left. good luck.

Well, took a ride to Florham Park again today. The gate was open so I took a drive in. Found several "gentlemen" in the club house. I asked about joining, and was immediately asked where I lived. After telling them Livingston,and a "subtle" rolling of the eyes by one of the guys there, I was told "Florham Park residents only." I respectfully said thank you and walked out, being prompted "Hey be careful outside that door."

I guess that place is a no go. It would have been nice since it is so close to home. If anyone knows of any other rifle ranges within 30 to 40 minutes drive of Livingston, let me know. Thanks.

 

Anyone have any knowledge about Cherry Ridge in Highland Lakes? Its farther than I would like to travel, but since FP is out, its the next closest place.

 

Member sign up is the first sunday of the month show up at the club house by 9:30 it starts at 10:00 $190.00 first year after that $132.00 per year

 

Are they accepting applications 7mm? Any restristions?

 

Cherry Ridge Range

Every first Sunday is open enrollment. As far as I know, they accept all comers.

Also AFAIK, there are no caliber restrictions, they run 50BMG events on the long range at least once a year.

We shoot 50BMG on thur, and fri. from 10am to 4pm on the 200yd.and 300yd. line

 

florham park only..wow thanks for saving me the trip. I am a memeber of cherry ridge not a bad place at all just a pain for me to drive from morristown up there...and just be careful if you shoot clay's they have to be biodegradable.

Thats what they told me MCR. Perhaps I just didn't fit the caliber of individual they are looking for in a member, me being from Livingston and such. Cherry Ridge is a haul for me as well, but still closer than anything else around. If I was still in Linden, I would go to Range 14 at Dix, but that is just too far from Livingston.

FT Dix range 14 is worth the ride from anywhere in the state.
