Numerous places I have been to in and around Monmouth County have for the most part been shut off or over enforced by police officers who hunt. On several occasions now I have contacted land owners who have repeatedly stated they would allow me to hunt but then warned me of local or state police who hunt the area and have been known to give hunter, even those with permission a hard time. While I have not experienced that myself I would be disappointed if that was the case.
However, I have heard repeatedly that hunting in and around Middletown is getting very difficult, and that even other police officers have been pushed off properties by an overzealous pair of officers working and hunting the Middletown area as well as the Earle depot areas. I do not have names as of yet but it is my hope that something is done as these two officers are not making friends and some property owners may soon be made aware. Rumor also has it that these two hunt properties, which are not even close to huntable and some it is said without permission. Similarly they are said to be hunting on some other properties near horse farms.
I hope this post gets out to them and they realize people are getting very tired of their selfishness. Calls may soon be made to some superior officers that is how many b people are tired of these two hunters infringing on the rights of their fellow hunters and officers.
