Finally got fingerprinted yesterday for my FID, on the way home I dropped it off at the SP barracks and the office makes a copy, hands it to me and says Okay, they will call you when you can come pick everything up... you know, so in two years.

Told him as long as I had it before hunting season! Nice to see he atleast had a sense of humor about it.

No I dont think so either I dropped my stuff off 3 months ago at state police and still waiting...this state sucks and 3 months is bullshit when state law is 30 days....and also considering the officer told me if I called about it it would take longer......doesn't really sound fair does it?

What are the consequences if you don't have a f.I.d but the firearms are legal
Quite honestly, its a grey area... it is supposed to be a permit to purchase... the way the Attorney General of NJ is applying the law is that it is a permit to possess. You could probably win any charge handed down to you, but it may be a steep pricetag

The turn around times are ridiculous. I personally know the woman in my Township that handles the paperwork for the Chief and it still took 3 months. This is the exact reason the NJ2AS started Operation Establish Compliance. We are giving townships time to respond to our requests and if they do not, we will follow with a lawsuit. But we do need help. If you can spare anything, please donate here.

Thanks

I'm going to love to hear who the State Police are going to blame when they tell you "were still waiting on the prints, there not back yet". LOL

Well my buddy is in charge of the FID and permits for the state police in Trenton, I can tell you it's not them that hold it up

Perryville Barracks:-
