10/1/2008 lots of movement. Bachelor groups are still together, but bucks are sparring. watched 3 fights from the stand, but the buck's left the field together in groups.

10/6/2008 Movement was good, Bucks were not in groups bt were coming and going on their own.

10/8/2008 lots of movement. Several younger bucks came and went on their own. They fead side by side with several mature does. No signs of interest in anything other than the apples under the trees.

Haven't seen any bucks while out hunting except for my BB last weekend. The deer I do see quite often on my way home from work in the late afternoon hours are lots of does and some spikes all busy eating acorns and grass in a few fields.

Hoping the next couple of weekends we'll see things pick up a little in intensity!

Was on my way to work at 3am and had a tall spike with his nose on the ground chasing 2 does back and forth across the road. Very interesting to watch[up]

I say you took the tall one in the back[up]

Lots of rubs and a bunch of scrapes here in zone 8. Saw a small buck grunting and chasing a doe 2 days ago but he gave up fairly quickly. This warm weather might put a damper on things but it should pick right back up again when it gets colder next week.

10/11/2008 Slow day. Little movement. All does. No buck's visible in zone 6. Zone 5 & zone 8 saw lots of rubs and lots of scrapes while posting the property line of a new area. One small apple tree with 4 scarpes beneath it!!

10/13/2008 good movement in zone 5. no signs of rutting behavior.
