I bought a pair of Lacrosse rubber hunting boots about two years ago and used them for hunting only, so figure 100 times max. Well the insides wore out in the heel. Being pretty pissed I sent them back to them for repair. Well they sent me back a brand new pair. Great stand up company, however, now the new pair are cracking and I've already had to fix it with some repair rubber silicone and I am just not happy with the quality. I bought them for $140, so they weren't cheap and I tried to support an American company but it seems like their quality stinks. I understand if I wore these everyday but they are strickly for deer hunting. Anyway, do you recommend a pair of hunting boots that will last and that will keep me warm through those 30 degree days of not moving?Appreciate any input!

i started with rocky, and moved along to lacross.. which i feel there rubber boots are terrific. i put holes in them, only from tripping on barb wire.. same damn wire gets me every time... other than that (which is my fault) i have no problems. love them.

same with me. Started with rocky anf switched to lacrosse. Never had a problem with them

i just got muck woody max very comfortable like all rubber boots they are a little sloppy for walking. im sure they will fit better when i finally put on a warmer sock[up]

in the early season i use field & stream boots bought from dicks sporting goods.. i had rockies before & the soles just fell apart in 2 yrs and only were worn during hunting season.. 2yrs now on the field & stream boots & the soles still look as good as new!! [up][up][up][up]

for colder months i use the heavier lacrosse boot.. no problems with them [up]

What I like about the Muck boots are that they look like they have another layer of rubber over the shell fow more protection against rips and tears as well as a moisture wick to keep your feet dry. I think I would prob get them next only because I use a climber and I think I am putting usual wear on these boots because of it.

I use only a cotton sock that I wear every day and am perfectly fine
You may be fine now, but if you keep wearing the same sock everyday your gonna have some funky feet in no time[rofl] Why do you only wear one sock, to keep your feet guessing??[rofl]

I bought a pair of rocky's in 1996 when I had money and I put 12 years and many many miles on them. I had to get rid of them because the odor coming out of them. I have not found a pair yet that can compare to those. The newer rocky's just dont hold up.

I tried to support an American company
Are there any LaCrosse boots even made in the USA any more? I have a pair of Ice Kings that are about 10+ years old that were made in the US. All the LaCrosse boots I see in the Catalogs seem to be imports. Same for Rocky boots.

All I have owned for hunting boots in the last 10 years have been Lacrosse boots. I have never had a problem with them. The bottoms wear out in time and the heal will start to leak but at that time it is time for new boots. I wear the grange in warm weather and to work every day and burlys when it gets cool out, for real brutal weather I have a pair with 1200 grams of thinsulate and my feet have never been cold in them. I like the look of the muck and the alpha series Lacrosse but I am afraid of briars and thick stuff tearing up the neoprene.
