I had planned on going this past Monday, but the wind changed my mind. I took the bus trip from the Sportsmen Center, $38 including the admission.

I lucked out meeting the Wensels again, who were leaving for home right after this picture. I met them at this show originally in 1981

Got to see Chuck's seminar, which I felt was excellent. He really jammed a lot into an hour.

The 3D shoot was still a crowd pleaser, with the archers, who had all the bumps, in the right places.

I went on Wednesday. First time there. Only had about five hours to spend. Took our three boys. What a memorable trip. Best part that stands out in my mind was the incredible hospitality and warm greetings the "older" hunters at most of the booths extended to my kids. Our boys are very inquisitive and ask a hundred questions and the "old timers" had no problems answering and carrying on the conversation. Even to the point to taking a couple of the boys around the table to show some personal pictures, a quick lesson on how to draw a bow and how to call in a turkey. Great way to "P [no swearing please] it on".

One other thing, great job by the organizers with the bus service. Very short wait time both coming and going. Terrific time we had. We've already planned on going next year, but this time for two days.

I hope shes there tomorrow when I go. WOOO HOO!!! (howling wolf smiley here)

Whats the deal with the 3d shoot. Can I just bring my bow and shoot it for fun?

Bring your bow if you'd like Matty, I never tried this shoot out, but the way I understand it, you can shoot as many times as you like. There's a certain score that will get you into the finals Sunday.
It's a unique set up, I'd guess the furthest target pushes 65yds. at about a 45 degree upward angle. Each station is numbered to correspond to the target you shoot at, somewhere about 25 to 30 targets.

I might bring my bow...what the heck..could be fun. Worse thing that could happen is one of my arrows ricochets off one of those metal railing and kills someone. Just kidding!

If Im lucky, I'll get to shoot next to some smokin hot Betty like the one you took pics of! [up][up]

Ian, if you're reading this, make room for my bow and bring yours!!!:D:)
