I am so excited... today was my first bow kill ever! I can now truly appreciate that feeling everyone talks about
Buckman got me a brand new bow a couple of weeks ago (Hoyt Kobalt) and I was so excited with how light it was and with the way it was shooting. (I know, I'm spoiled) I couldn't wait to get out for opening day. I was extremely nervous...and since it was raining a little this morning, I decided to practice one more round of shooting this morning to boost my confidence. We went out this afternoon, set up the camera gear, and within 20 minutes or so, we saw a doe with 2 babies come in. They hung out for a bit, but they were facing us. After about 10 minutes, the doe finally turned mostly broadside. Of course, I got excited and moved a little too quickly and spooked the babies who ran off a little bit. By some divine intervention (and a little luck) the doe just stood there and calmed down. I was able to draw back the bow and get a pretty clean shot! Doe dropped about 20-25 yards. WOW! What a feeling! So we now have 2 of our team members on the board
Congrats to you too Robin!
