the other day I was putting in an order from bass pro for a few things I needed for the season. I came across some nice knives for butchering deer. I figured I would buy a few. Well to my surprize a warning popped up and said you cannot ship deadly knives to NJ. Any knife with a blade over 5". Got to love this state.[down]

probably not a law but a bass pro rule.. There are alot of these rules that catalog companies make up when dealing with this state just to protect there own hides.. Shows you how bad it is here when someone would turn down revenue just to be on the safe side when they are not even breaking any laws[wallmad]

I agree. When I spoke to Cabelas Sales about the starter's pistol, explaining that they are freely available in local NJ sporting goods stores, etc , they called me back and stated that they just didn't want to get involved with NJ law gray areas. (This was a few years ago)

That's the reason I hope Cabelas never opens it's doors in the Meadowlands. The way NJ regulates stuff, they're doomed to be nothing more than a glorified "Sports Authority" store. [wallmad][wallmad][wallmad]

It'll be the 1st Cabelas store to put in a golf & exercise equipment department (just to take up floor space for the merchandise they won't be allowed to sell).

But you can buy a whole set of kitchen knives with a butcher knife, slicer, french chef knife, clever, etc.. by mail order. I guess only hunting knives can kill people in New Jersey.

but hell that unemployment check never run out in this state!
never quit working........Democrats depend on you to feed the rest of the state[down][down][down][down][down][down][down][down][down][down][down][down]
