I feel every hunter should start his season off with a goal or two. this year I've got two.
1. learn better achery form. I've always been a competent shooter but at the sametime i have never paid any attention to HOW i shoot, or how i can shoot better. already I've changed my grip and stance and both have improved my groups.
2. practice spot and stalking. one area i hunt has a pretty heavily overgrown field of about 4 acres with a ridge running along one side of it. i plan on setting up on the ridge with a spotting scope and attempt to locate deer and then set a stalk on them. hopefully this will pay off later in life when i get to spot and stalk a monster elk....or it could just be a fun new way for me to hunt.
