Just got back home with my mounts.
I want to start by saying it was a fantastic show, and I can't wait til next year. Ideas are already flowing for next years show! LOL
It was a pleasure to see everyone there and compare ideas, tips, methods, and laughs.
I think everyone who showed up had very unique pieces, and there were plenty of breathtaking mounts. Some just absolutly amazing and artistic i couldnt help but to observe them over and over throughout the weekend. Great work guys.
Mark, Ray, Paul, John, Dave, and the rest of the guys, nice seeing you all again, I loved all your work and hope you add photos when you get them uploaded.
Carl, nice to finially meet you today, maybe next year you can find the time to compete.
Sandy, I was looking foward to seeing your amazing mounts, hopefully next year you can make it, i know it was a little far for you this year...
I don't personally like to add photos of other taxidermists' mounts, even though i do have a bunch on my camera, i just wouldnt feel right posting other peoples work unless they asked me to. SO, if anyone wants me to post their work for them, and if i have the photos of their work, i will do so, just PM or ask on here.
For starters, here is a photo of my work:
I received the following awards:
ELK: 2nd place professional
WT SHOULDER: 2nd place professional
WT DEER LIFESIZE: 2nd place professional
WT DEER LIFESIZE HABITAT: 1st place professional
RAINBOW/STEELHEAD TROUT: 3rd place professional
HEN PHEASANT: 2nd place professional
MALE PHEASANT: 2nd place professional
Last but not least, which i was EXTREMELY PLEASED as well as surprized and honored, i was awarded my 1st trophy to my collection, for 2009 Garden State Taxidermy Association "Best All Around Taxidermist"
Please, everyone who has photos of their work, accomplishments, and awards from the GSTA 2009 show, post them here. Everyone deserves to see some of the amazing work there is out there.
