Finally started the "twin" to my favorite striped b [no swearing please] rod. Another Seeker 7ft.

Took measurements off the built one and began to cut, shape and install the grips and reel seat.

I'll let this set up a few days and hopefully get some time on the weekend to start the underwraps and guide installation.[up]

Joe, just curious as to how much you save by building your own? I know my 7ft Seeker Blue Lightenings cost me about $180-$190 per pop

Tdaly,,It all depends on which components you go with. It you use all TOP shelf it will cost more than store bought. About $135 in components on this one.

where do you get your supplies?
buck, I use mudhole and netcraft online.

It takes time and patience but its fun. Nothing like catching a fish on a rod you made. This is an E gl [no swearing please] rod pass.

Yod, wish I had time to make 100 more..

Go to kevin bogans cutom rods in pointpleasant or brielle bait and tackle in brielle, there both owned by the same family and have been building rods for over 50 years i think,They have a full supply of blanks guides and grips.Kevin taught me how to wrap.good guy.

Looks like alot of fun and the product is awesome. If I got another hobby my wife would leave me, without a doubt. So where do I get the components?[hihi]
