Little P'd off with Deepwoods Off

This is what happens when Deepwoods Off leaks out of the bottle in your console all over your goose and duck calls. Seems the bottle leaked in my truck and I was unaware. I went in the lower console to get something today and ever thing was wet. By the smell I knew the OFF was the culprit. I was shocked when I saw that it melted the calls. Holy crap and we wear this on our skin. I had 3 calls that were melted ... 2 goose and a duck. Sucks.[wallmad][wallmad]

That stuff is very flammable. When you only have 2 matches to start a fire, a few drops on the tinder helps.

U guys put it directly on your skin. I only apply to the outer layer of clothing and shoes so it wont touch my skin. Sorry to hear about your calls though.

I switched to this 2 years ago, works on greenheads too. I had deep woods leak in my boat storage compartment and melt the first aid kit. Thats all I needed to see to say no to Off.

Basically just ticks. I had chiggers twice, but not in recent years. I do the same thing with them as I do with poison ivy, Scratch till it bleeds, then dump bleach on it. They are gone the next day.

Go back and check, it might have melted a part of your truck as well.

Be careful with that. I guy I used to work with did that once and had third degree burns all over his arms from the bleach. Wasn't the first time he had ever done it either.

All those bug sprays say right on the can that they melt plastic. Cutter is even worse.

Some bug sprays are pretty strong. High-end acoustic guitars have multiple (as many as seven) thin layers of nitro-cellulous laquer finish for the gloss coatings and bug spray can eat it up.
