Guess it would have to be my youngest son (16) who loves to go hunting.
other than that it's any deer I outsmart. To me it's like a game, some times I win and most times they win. But I keep playing.[up] By the way I have yet to shoot a nice buck. I have had many under my stand but the state say's i can't shoot one till I get a doe first. Maybe I should change zones and make it easier on myself? Nah that's not part of the game. Ps. If I did I would go back to zone 4. lottsa nice deer up there. (are you listening BHC.?)

my best trophy is my 24 inch LMB i cought 2 years ago in PA...it was a beautiful monsterous bass!

I know it's not a trophy for alot of you guys but my 9 pointer this year on opening day of shotgun is my trophy.

That's hard to say. The best rack I ever got was a 9 pointer in 1985. It's the best rack and heaviest deer 165lbs. I don't consider it the best trophy because the deer had already been hit with one pellet of buckshot and was dieing when I blasted him with a slug at 10 yards. I probably could have just waited for the buckshot to finish him off. The following year I shot a really big 6 pointer at 75 yards with open sights with a smoothbore rifled slug. Body size was almost the same as the 9. Although the rack isn't as good as the 9 it is still really big for a 6 and probably the best shot I ever made on an animal. The 7 pointer I got this year with the bow is pretty good also that was 154 lbs.
Every any I have harvested has been a trophy to me. However, some stick out more than others.
1. My first pheasant.
2. My first deer that happened to be piebald.
3. My 1st buck that happened to be a 10 pointer.
4. My first grouse. Thanks to Jersey Jim.
5. My doe I go this year. I tracked her for 5 hours after hitting her with the muzzleloader.
It is hard to pick out just one.
