Almost a Month and Nothing

With so many people applying for their FID card,they say they are really backed up

So true, My PD Chief has had a huge # of FID and handgun applications like he has never seen before. I guess people are getting smart and realizing that the 2nd Amendment is something everyone should take advantage of. The People should not fear the Goverment but the Goverment should fear the people. The day the Goverment does not fear us we would have become another Cuba!!!!

I for one would never allow this to happan without a fight!!!!!!!!!!

Remember that the American Flag is made out of the blood of true Patriots!! Never allow thier sacrifice to be in vien.

It'll be a month next Monday since I submitted my application along with fingerprints at the NJSP Hamilton Barracks and I haven't heard anything. I know it's taken people a few months at the same station but my references haven't even got any papers yet. Some one gave me a number of a trooper I should be calling. Should I at least wait until its been a month untill I start calling? I really want to get this over with.

It's been 34 days to be exact for me. As of last week my references havn't recieved their paperwork either. I will give them 10 more days then I will call them and state the law to them because it's law for them to have a decision rendered in 30 days. The guy at the sport shop where I go told me to call the State Police in 60 days but, I'm going to do it in 45 days. they are breaking the law and they know it. According to him it works. What do I have to lose I don't have it now and from what it looks they don't intend to do anything any time soon.

Don't wait. Call on Monday and ask why your references have not received anything. Ask them the status. Get names and dates when they sent things out. Then call every week and note the progress with more names and dates. It will make things move.

Well I waited a little longer without calling and finally, 41 days later and I have my FID card in hand. I guess I should consider myself fortunate hearing some of the other stories.
