Could always just hunt public land...the experts say it's great: full of game, no hunters.
I hunt deer total on public, 75% of my turkey is public. I will not lease a goose field and I do have 2 duck leases but again I hunt public just as much.

Public for turkey sat is rough But if you do your work you are only there 45 mins then done.

I got kicked off my best deer spot in Franklinville because the farmer saw a big buck and he wanted him all for himself. I tried to reason with him that I would pass if I saw that buck but he didn't care. The greedy old fart didn't even go hunting once in that spot. New Jersey will drive you crazy!!

I believe you're over thinking this Mr Hyde. Farmer probably leased his farm because he doesn't get sh*t for the crops or livestock he grows (not because you killed a turkey last year) and he needs the money. A decent corn combine cost like $45-$60k...

The farmer is who leased the "WOODS" they came to him and said the wanted it to hunt. they have 200 acres and wanted his 26 to hunt, not too much to over think here.

stop being cheap and make someone an offer.....do you expect it to be free forever? dont blame the leasee....
I blame the leaser 100% in this one, he couldn't deal with me hunting a little corner of the woods and he has the rest of the entire piece. Not being cheap, I hunt in NJ nothing cheap about that at all, plus I'm trying to raise a family. Some people have priorities.

i lost my best turkey spot ever 3 yrs ago but a different situation its land locked in the middle of mcmansions i have no access to get to it unless i tresspass though someones yard or farm all said no permission so the birds are safe forever unless of course a mcmansion owner is a hunter

I do see the FU is out of place here. The FU is intended for the greedy farmer.
Think aboat the guys that keep getting bumped up in price on the leases and then sold out by property owners so some don't have it easy either you should know as well.

It's a Lion fight and who ever has the biggest roar ($$$$) get to hunt on some of those greedy owners lands.

Sucks don't it!

And how would you feel if that wasn't enough the property owner comes along after he leases you as a hostage and shoots your deer too before the season even opens because the came with the D permits?????

Theres some really nice farmers out there so that adds a new dimension to the mix.:p
