Take a tip from 11 pointer and chill out till you have some die hard proof that they're such a terible thing to have around
I have hunted for many years in states where crossbows are legal. Where in my post above does it say anything about crossbows being a negative inclusion to our woods?

I think your tactics bring the whole Org. down.
What organization are you talking about?[confused]

My post was strictly a discussion piece. Why must you just tell me to sit down and shut up?

Lets be honest...this is where the crossbow market will take things. Its only a natural technilogical progression. Whether you think its a good or bad thing is up to you.....but theres no denying it will happen.
So this wasnt anything like.....Hey guys look at what we're gonna have running around OUR woods now??

Yes I believe it was just another attempt at bringing down the pro-crossbow debate. Do you actually think something like that would make it into a hunting situation?

Look at this progession of crossbows. Is it so much of a stretch to think that the next picture in this line could be a semi-auto crossbow? I mean, Im no inventor but it seems like a logical next step to me. I think it would take a damm creative engineer to drastically improve upon todays compounds, but doesnt it seem like there is more room for innovation with crossbows?

Think about this, the whole premise to the TV show I posted above is to improve upon the ancient chinese repeating crossbow (the same one huntfishNJ posted above)...

Dont you think with our techonology we can come up with a repeating crossbow that will be a little bit better than the one the ANCIENTs came up with? I guess we will find out next Tuesday.

There is a lot of fascination with crossbows and thats a good thing. The semi auto idea is just that-an idea. Can it be built and at what price and what would it weigh? I thought crossbows never missed and little kids shoot them right out of the box why would you need a second shot[confused][confused] OK who knows somebody that missed, lets hear about it[hihi]

Don't the high end single shot crossbows sell from $1,000-$2,000. Add in a bunch of new technology and gas firing etc it might cost $4,000, just a guess. I guess you might sell a couple but then you would have to find a state that would allow it too. It seems like it would be hard to find a big enough market to get it into production at those price points. Its definitely going to cost a lot more for a second shot. It would probably be easier to redesign the vertical bow with a lock and load mechanism:D

Chris they are just upset cause you called them out. They don't know how to act civil. They are always on the defensive, like someone is gonna steal their cookie. Pitiful isn't it[rofl][rofl][rofl][rofl][rofl]

I dont know...that was sorta the point of this thread. What do you think?
Ok Chris. I apologize. If you weren't pointing out this device, and saying it would be the "natural technilogical (sic) progression" as any type of implying that crossbow users would put such a device in the woods, I must've misread it and I'm sorry.

And no, I don't think it would make it's way into the woods in NJ.

They are always on the defensive, like someone is gonna steal their cookie. Pitiful isn't it
Like "YOUR" precious bowseason, that is going to be stolen away because of the introduction of crossbows? C'mon Dubs, the anti-CB side has definitely had it's moments in the cookie jar, too.
