Hope this will bring back some good memories for some of you old timers:D I did a quick search and it looks like these were around in the 1946-1948 area. The shells are in great shape.

Most members of this site are not old enough to remember paper shells. I rember buying 00 buck paper shells in 25 round boxes from levis hardware on S Broad Street in Trenton for $2.00 a box.

I still use paper shells as well as have quantities of empties I'll continue to reload until they are no longer usable. I remember reloading red WWAA paper 20 gauge's BEFORE plastic shot cups came about when I was a kid. There are scores of collectors out there looking for unopened boxes of paper shells to add to their collections too.

my dad has some paper shells around in 12,16 and 20 gauge. a few boxes of each. 1 box i think was smith and wesson brand, not sure what gauge they are. a cousin on my dads side did not want the 16 and 20 anymore,so he gave them to my dad. grandad, dad and my uncles used to use paper shells for small game hunting, olympic brand if i recall right, shells made in poland #6,#7 1/2. still has a few boxes of those around too. if stored in a cool, dry place they should fire fine. not sure on paper buckshot, but dad recalls buying 5 and 25 round boxes of buckshot many years ago. now its 5's only. gunbroker had a listing of 12 ga. plastic, remington made 3" #1 buck in 25 rd boxes at 15.00 per box.
