1.You either haven't been a police officer very long,
2.you have an ever evolving set of standards/values, or you're not being completely honest.
3.Voicing your opinion is one thing. Not following an order is something else.
1. Over 16 years
2.Why so?
3. In my career there's been times where I was "told" to do something by a supervisor and I didn't agree. In each and every instance I spoke up and offered my opinion. Coming from "the road" my supervisors know my abilities, and in most cases said "ok, we'll do it that way."
I don't know what your knowledge is of law enforcement, but if I ever had a supervisor ORDER me to do something or else lose my job, he would be in the chief's office explaining himself long before I would be.

Your question is evolving. First it was
Did you ever have to do something you didn't agree with because keeping your job demanded you do so?
Then it became
Not following an order
In the first case, my knowledge, training and experience guide me, and I stand by the decisions I've made. As to the second case, I've explained that above.

You have to start with the ATA giving the Division ALOT of money.
ATA “giving the division a lot of $$" IS total BS

A donation for an Olympic ARCHERY facility isn’t anything more than that. IF you have proof otherwise, Doug, post it up for all to see!! Let’s see you have been asked how many times and can’t do that, yet you still make bogus accusations and allegations and you should know better. [down][down]

Was it the NJ sportsmen/women that asked for this or was it A NJ SPORTSMAN that asked for this.
Dubs, It was a group of NJ sportsmen/women and they followed ALL proper channels and procedures, as is witnessed by their success in this matter.

If there are letters are they for the public to see, if so it would be great to see them. I bet there is a whole room full of them at F&G Headquarters
Do you "really" believe that ALL NJ Sportsmen/women need to ask for something that makes sense before F&G Council will check into it?

"Where" is it stated it “takes “X” number of letters or even written requests for F&G to listen to NJ Sportsmen/women?

Please tell me why you're so defensive? I only asked a couple questions all I ask for is a few answers.
"I" am NOT defensive, at all!! "I" have no need to be, but you seem to be. Besides, I keep telling you that it isn't about ME. [rofl]

Keep digging, boys. You’ll never dig out of the holes you’re putting yourselves into. [hihi]

A donation
[rofl][rofl][rofl]

PROVE it, IF you can, that it was anything else. [eyeroll]

As far as your last question, do your own "legwork", but it was obviously “big enough”. [smirk]

oh Im sure it was "BIG ENOUGH".

The deal was done and there is nothing I or anyone else can do it about it now, but politics definitely played apart in all of this. That can't be denied. As for the NJ sportsman and woman asking for this. BULLSH!T. I don't believe a word of that. If was just the sportsmen/women asking for this than why is it so hard to get everything else we ask for? You and your friends contributed to corrupting hunting in NJ. Whether you like it or not. You say you're are a friend of sportsman, but in turn you just hurt our sport. Whether others agree with me know on this or not, they will soon learn what was really done to their sport in the near future. i can guarrantee that. Wait til you hear all the cries then.

Be ashamed K, be very ashamed.[down][down]

who are the group of sportsmen and women? some elite federation groups maybe?..that wouldnt suprise me. some guys who are too lazy to pick up a real bow? that wouldnt surprise me... some guys who have no serious injury's that dont know how to use an allen wrench? that doesnt surprise me. and DONATION yeah now that's funny[rofl]

who are the group of sportsmen and women? some elite federation groups maybe

the only elitist snobs here are you guys with your holier than thou attitides who think that the nj deer hunting seasons should be centered around them

isn't it past your bedtime anyway?

Im sorry Muzzyman.... do you know me? Do you know how I was raised.

Please tell me what have you done to help hunting in this state. Tell me how many phone calls have you made to further the future of hunting in this state? Have you donated any of your personal time to aid in our fight against anti hunting? How many kids did you introduce to hunting and fishing. Take the time out of your day to teach them how to shoot or cast and proper ethics? Or is everything you spew on here for you own personal gain. Cause that my friend makes you the selfish one.

muzzy, bow season has been intruded on by the federation and the council for awhile now they are the selfish and elitist group. if full inclusion happens you watch who does the bitchen and the crying that all THEIR bucks are being killed. you guys say my woods my deer tell that to the driving clubs that drive every piece of public land knowing its their woods and their deer[smirk]

Am a non-hunter who is PRO hunting supporting what YOU like to do!

oh wow... I don't support much of anything you do. Im a sportsman, are you a friend of mine?
Brian, "I" am a friend to ALL sportsmen/women and my sig proves it. I get involved and donate both time and money to gun groups, and ALL bow groups (including crossbows). Being a supporter of NJOA also includes fishermen/women and ALL outdoors people. However, you support ONLY what falls into YOUR way of doing things. You are the narrow-minded one who is "against" other hunters on this issue. As I am "not" an ANTI, I support many more than you do, my friend. :D

My guess is that Muzzy has never been to any kind of bow hunting gatherings such as a 3d shoot.
If he was at just one event of it's type, where bow hunters gathered, he would understand how accepting and willing to bring others into the sport that bow hunters are. Out of all the hunters, bow hunters are the most united and dedicated group. With the state taking such a shot at us, most bow hunters will simply give up. This will be a very bad thing, the people who fight the most giving up, I truely believe that anti's know who are important and are taking us out. Soon after, it'll be a domino effect. Crossbow hunters, beware, you want more time in the woods now, but give it a few years and when you're time and everyone elses time is cut down to almost nothing and when there is hardly a deer to be seen, you won't even be able to give them crossbows away. Look at what the division is doing to bow hunters, do you think they give a rats ass about you as crossbow hunters? They'll stab you in the back just as quick.

For myself.
I am not a quiter and I won't give up on hunting.
What I am going to do, is only purchase bow licenses after we go full inclusion. Unless you have private land, gun hunting in this state sucks anyway, the woods gets too beat up once ML season comes in with all the driving that goes on, basically a waste of money for me. If anything, I'll crossbow hunt from December on. I'll defenitely be booking trips out of state, to places that focus on QDM rather than bringing in a source of revenue.
I also hunt some private NJ land, land that we don't patrol and kick people out of, but truth be told, if anyone comes in with crossbows during bow season, tresspassing summons will be issued.
All I keep hearing is how I'm elitist and holier than thou, I might as well really start acting that way.

Why not a compromise?
YOUR side didn't want a compromise way back. Now, that it didn't turn out your way, you say you want a compromise? [down][down]

and ALL bow groups
K you say you support all bow groups are you currently a UBNJ member if not than you do not support ALL bow groups.

wrong again k dont tell happy false things. he wasnt at the F&G meeting as i was. the UBNJ asked for a compromise after they surveyed their own members. it was shunned by the council and a personal attack on the UBNJ and the president of the UBNJ started at a public meeting. a very respected member of the UBNJ who does alot for bowhunting in this state was asked not to attend the meeting. then he was personally attacked also, dont deny it. wow the council has so much class and should be respected but he wasnt even there to defend himself[down]
