An A.H. Fox Sterlingworth Field grade is worth about $1,475 in 98% condition. Condition of blueing, case coloring, bore, any wear in the action, wood, & checkering will have to be factored in to further grade the gun. There's also the "Tri-State" factor (what I call it) to consider. Guns in this area usually command a premium price over the same guns in other areas like say in Davenport, IA. JMHO

It is a nice looking specimen and they sure don't make them like this anymore. That alone says a lot. Try to find any double shotgun made today that has a wood to metal fit like this one for $1,200. You won't!

AWESOME lookin gun..wish you the best of luck sellin it![up][up][up]

WHAT A JOKE FOR THAT PRICE, GET REAL
haha look its our pal from the other thread [spy]

Stuff4sale probably realized that there's not much there for him in resale and got disappointed. This is a great antique gun. I wish I had the money for it.

In addition, some guages bring a premium even in the lower grades Sterlys. Such as 16ga. A nice Sterly in 16ga. in 95-98% will bring an easy $2K+.

If the gun is as nice in real life as the pics, I wouldn't lower the price. I'd put it back in the safe and leave it there.

Or, go to a few other sites like doublegunshop.com
uplandjournal.com, shotgunworld.com

It will sell on them. ;)

I would hold on to it till the economy gets better or advertise on a site that is geared more towards double guns or upland hunting.TJC gave you some great sites, either way don't give it away.Right now I have a custom Badbull muzzle-loader on the way or I would be all over that gun for that price.
