I hunt solo mostly now, but get my Dad out for birdhunting when the weather is warm. It's a shame but he can't outwalk me anymore like he could when I was ten and he was forty. Now he's 83 and he's good for only a half day of walking, so we take it easy. It's still great to get out together and I look forward to each time. I only hunt deer and turkey with my brother.

I mostly hunt and scout solo. I have a buddy or two help track a deer or move a stand and do the same for them. We enjoy getting together before or after the hunt or through the phone lines. But that's just my circle of hunting buddies. I used to always go with my dad but now that i'm older i kind of enjoy the solitude. I'm sure if and when I have children i'll involve them as much as my dad did with me, but for now i'm a lone wolf. But with or without anyone, I still have that fire inside

99.9% I hunt alone I would rather have a good hunting partner but just havent found someone that has the same hunting morals as I do someone that is into letting the smaller bucks walk and not into shooting everything in site. I do have two buddies that I hunt with maybe once or twice a year but thats about it They live kind of far away so dont get the chance to hunt with them to much. It would be nice to have a solid partner though

I hunt by myself frequently. Have for years and really rather enjoy it. Now my son is hunting and I'm spending time getting him onto game. It's alot more challenging when you have a young one with you.

I use to hunt with my father all the time he has moved to florida and i have to admit it feels like something is missing when im out there alone. He taught me all i know about hunting and fishing. Its like not having your best buddy there when your doin the thing you love the most.
I know exactly how you feel my dad passed about 4 years ago and it just doesnt seem the same to me anymore. I actually didnt hunt the first 2 years after he passed because I never thought it would be the same but I worked that out and although I am physically in the woods alone he is always with me, I use his guns or bow and always have little things he used to take with him I now keep with me

I hunt 95% of the time alone. I've even driven out to Iowa and hunted alone. I still keep in touch with everyone after the hunt. I do it cause I can go and leave when I want, make all the calls, and don't have to deal with hard feelings. Hunting seems to sometimes divide friendships. I just can't be bothered.

I hunt deer alone most of the time. Even when my brother-in-law hunts, he goes to a different spot a few miles away. I'd rather be alone because most of my stand are set up for one person, two people would just screw things up. Bird hunting is another story, the more the merrier.

Now I know why i hunt alone! I went on a deer drive with some friends i have been hunting with for the five years and longer! I gety the call we need drivers
i said yes I was not going to hunt to day.
my friend was waiting since 9:00am to leave I got there around 11:00. we left around 1:00 some one had to go get feeed for his chickens?????Then some one did not have ok from his wife!!!
killed the first deer at 1:45 ! The person we posted at the sweet sopt to shoot! Heard the shot left the post to come over to see what was killed!
I asked him did you see any deer ? and what are you doing here??? he stated I was on the phone with my girl friend when i head the shot! I will hunt by my self from now on!

9 times out of 10 im goin solo. Thats the main reason I joined this site though. That one time I want to go with someone, I can find a die-hard to go with. Also, to learn different types of hunting from people who have expierence ie...waterfowl, rabbit turtle.

I hunt with a 2 good buddies and my father. By hunt "with" i mean at least 500 yards apart and just walk in together and meet at the truck afterwards. If no ones around i go by myself no problems.

Hunting alone is good medicine sometimes every now and then i like to bird hunt just me and the dog and i think if it was not for the dog i dont know if i would even load the gun. But i deer hunt most of the time by my self but im geting older now and i like to have my son or a freind with me now in case somthing happens i was by my self a few years back fell and broke my leg and was all day getting out wish i was with someone that day

once i turn 17 and get my licence every weekend im goin
Sorry to bring the bad news but, there going to make a law that makes you wait until your 18 to get your licsense its supposed to go into effect next February.

I hunt every chance I get and I just got my licsense 3 months ago, so them numbers will increase dramatically this year. :D

But if I'm going hunting and one of my "very few" hunting buddies wants to come no problem. If not see ya later. [rofl]
