I was in the seat at 5:45 am sitting in my gun season hot spot on the private land I hunt. At 6:45 I had one doe walk up the horse trail behind me and come around in front of me and head towards the bedding area. At 7:35 I see a deer walking on the trail that is about 60-70 yards in front of me coming from the bedding area. This trail does not come by me and I see that it is a buck. I put the gun up and have it on him. He stood there just looking around for about 5 minutes. I decided to take the shot once I realized he was not going to come my way, he had his eyes on something that was going to keep him going that direction. I just shot my gun and know it is dead on at 100 yards and he was just standing there broadside at 60-70 yards. I held steady and slowly squeezed the trigger. He fell over about 10 yards from where he was standing!!! Perfect shot right thru the boiler room. This was the farthest shot I have ever taken and I'm quite proud of myself. I have a ton of pics of him on my trail cam which makes it even neater. Will be posting pics momentarily
