Getting the matter before the assembly is up to them. From what I understand, the bill will be presented to the Agricultural committee next week. If the identical bil is passed out of committee, it's just a matter of teh speaker scheduling it for a full vote. But even if it gets that far, carslime still has to sign it to becaome law. There is no specified time frame-it's all a matter of whether they want it to proceed. If it doesn't get passed it just dies again, and we start back at square 1 again. If you are keeping track, we have been down this road 5 times already, and each time the bill just died. Having the bill make it through the senate was the farthest we have ever come. As Jakesbeard sais-call your assembly reps and demand action on this bill!

Forgive my ignorance, if it passes everything and the last to sign is Corzine, he can't refuse it can he? Wouldnt he have to veto it and have justification? I mean if it was voted on by the senate and committees, etc. Can he just refuse it and then it dies in his lap? Can't be right...
Maybe the insurance companies will pressure him to sign to eliminate more deer.

With all of the Democrats supporting both Sunday bow for deer and the Bowhunters safety zone I don't think the Governor will as SUBURBAN DEER are not just a republican problem like bears are.
Also note that DEP has testafied FOR these bills and Jackson has said she is not opposed to these bills as they will reduce deer in areas that need it, how come you guys (MTH)are quick to say when Jackson opens her mouth about Bears it's Mr.Corzine speaking but you do not see it working that way with deer?
Act like your actions WILL get the job done and they just might ACT (don't act)and sound like nothing good will happen and you weave a self fullfilling prophacy.
