I finally shot a buck I nicknamed "High Rise" after hunting him for two years. I had a few encounters with him last year and the one time he was within bow range was during winter bow. He came in with one antler already dropped. So I let him walk and hoped to see him next year.
I share this spot with my 73 year old grandfather (Who still archery hunts!). I owe him special thanks for all the work and scouting he did to give me another opportunity at this buck last night.
This was one of the two we agreed to go after this season. I hope he gets a crack at the other buck which is bigger!
