Make sure you bring a lock with you anyhow so you can lock your equipment to your tree while you look for your deer.

Summit Openshot is great highly portable and light stand. I have the openshot for hunts lasting a few hours and I have the ultimate viper for gun season and longer hunts.

what does that mean?

just like it sounds. I only carry the stand for a short time. most of my time is actually in the stand hunting. so I would rather have a stand that is comfortable. make it easier to sit all day if needed.[up]
