Last year I let a bunch of scrub racks walk, I kept waiting for something really nice but he never came along. This year will be the same. I would like a nice 8 or larger.

I will shoot a Bow during what may end up to be NJ's last Bow Season.

As for critters I will defer to Samual Clemins who once said "Predictions are hard to do and when they are about the future they can be darned near impossible."

In 2008 I will start out the season with a 130 or better limit for myself I dont want to shoot anything less than that for a buck.I know that will take a lot of scouting and hard work but it can be done. And off course I will shoot my one doe for meat

Gee I'm happy to hear you have that much control when a nice deer walks in broad side with a perfict shot? What then good bye grow up sonny see ya next year?

I have learned over my many years that the guys that talk like this usally end the season with less or not even filling a buck tag.

To each his own to what they do and let each man live with what there own standards are. Some have more time to hunt and have better spots so to the guys that don't have these set ups never let anyone intimidate you from setting your standards lower.

I hope everyone has enjoyment out of the ourdoors and has at least 1 chance at a buck and let the ones who say they are trophy hunters do there thing.

When the season ends that's when it will be told. Shoot straight and enjoy yourself while doing it. Theres a number of new bow hunters this year and I hope they all have opportunitys to learn what we all have come to love.

Last year was the first time in 10 years i only killed 1 buck. And it was a nice 18" wide 8Pt.
I have no regets about not shooting any of the smaller bucks that walked by.
I did miss a big 6 in zone 16 and a 150" Buck in Illinois at 20 yards..Just wasn't meant to be.

Jrhunt. I am ok with not filling a buck tag and passing up on less than a 130.I am not going to shoot any buck just to say I got my buck. But thats just me. Last year I passed on several 120 class 8s and a 125 10. And I dont have the best property either I have to work my B---s off to find them.

I'd love a P&Y buck (who wouldn't?) and you can't have a chance at one if you tag out on a lesser buck. I have farms where the farmers want deer dead so there is always a place to fill the freezer with a doe. Since you can't eat the antlers, I am gonna TRY my best to wait on a set that will look good on a sneak mount.

But like Cat said...
when a nice deer walks in broad side with a perfect shot
If he's good enough to get "that feeling", an arrow may fly[hihi]

I shot only one buck in Jersey and one in PA. The jersey one was a P&Y 10 point, so I was plenty happy with that. I let some nice bucks walk, one being a 18" wide 8 point with 10" G2's. I'm pretty sure he made it thru, and I looking foward to what he is this year. Wallhangers only for me, at least thats what the plan is at this point...
