How's it more efficiant,I thought they had no advantages. Quick kills, you stated before that there was no differance,they both use broadheads resulting in bloodloss. I am a happy and successful hunter who buys licenses,permits and equipment. Why not focus on the QDM hunters are looking for and we will have a much larger following. Pandering to the incompetent to get your way is pathetic.

Yes they both kill with a broadhead and blood loss. But it takes a well placed shot to do this quickly.
A quick kill will result from an accurate well placed shot, which is achieved by being proficient with your bow.
The advantage that a CrossBow has is that it is easier to become Proficient and to stay proficient.
Which will result in accurate shots and harvested deer.
I guess some here are still supporting the "non proficient" Vertical bow shooters, just to keep CrossBOWS out. [sad]

paul let me ask you this if you sight in a crossbow and its dead on isnt it the same as far as the scope being banged around that the sight could later be off..therefor resulting in IN proficient shots.

It is easy to be proficiant with a gun as well,that's never been what bowseason is about,you guys just don't get that do you
As I said before, I don't support anyone who's "non-proficient" nor will I support anyone who wants to take the easy way out.

I fire one shot at a target in my basement before heading out(to check the sights). Then I'm careful not to bang it around on my way to a hunt(about an hour drive to Pa.) . I have a padded case that takes out most of the bangs.
My CrossBOWS wear AimPoint Red Dot sights(Military versions). You have to hit them pretty hard to knock them out of alignment.
I'm sure you'll agree that any Scope or Red Dot sight is more sturdy than the Pins on a Compound Bow's sight.
I've bent a few of them in the brush.

I think openly like this..
Gun hunter gets xbow..... kill nice deer with xbow..... xbow hunter now tries hand held bow.......bow hunter kills nice buck.....Am I missing something here, or do I need to [smoke]more wacky Te-backy[confused]

It's all good with me.... I'm waiting for a atalat(sp) season
number one im not anti crossbow im anti crossbow in early archery seasons ...that being said if you would come out of the makeshift blind and realize once a few extra bucks are killed the federation will [cry] they are killing OUR bucks again...dont forget that was the real reason why EAB was implemented if you dont think it was you were still sitting in your makeshift blind then too...they WILL drop gun season into nov eventually because of the whining ...and mystic if you dont have a problem with that i dont why you even pick up a stick and string in the first place[smirk]
