After hearing hunters say that the deer herd #'s are down; the great & wise F&G Council has deemed it necessary to create another deer regulation set...ADDING more days...I bet they won't be in February...[down]
Proposal 2 would add “Regulation Set 9” to the list of existing regulation sets (N.J.A.C. 7:25- 5.29). This proposed change was explained to the Council by Principal Biologist Kandoth. She noted that it would add four days to the permit muzzleloader and permit shotgun seasons. Assistant Director Herrighty also gave details of this proposal to the Council. After some additional discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Puskas, seconded by Councilman Kertz to approve this change. A vote was taken with all in favor, none opposed.

None specifies as of yet...zone?
Probably NovemberSeptember?
I write letters on a regular basis, my friends and family do as well. Frankly I don't think the division gives a flip. Now they started answering with generic responses indicating that they don't even read the content anymore.Write letters, go to F&G Council meetings, go to Federation meetings. Writing stuff here does nothing
No actual thought to it most likley? I would cast my opinion that it was insurance companys behind this.Absolutely insane, what are these people thinking????
Good. Keep doing it. BTW, where are you sending these letters??I write letters on a regular basis, my friends and family do as well. Frankly I don't think the division gives a flip.
ive experienced this first hand talking to them. we as hunters in the field are the best research tools they have and we get left out. they need to leave the office once in a while and get out in the woods. I WONDER how much mo[down]ney that extra 4 day permit is gonna cost.I think it is time for some new biologists too. Even the average joe can see. In areas where hunter access is good the deer #s are way down.
