How will the rise of Gas prices affect you guys this coming hutning season? The way it looks its not coming down anything soon. Will you be car pooling or taking a smaller car, thats moe gas efficent, or not going at all. I know some guys on here go to PA to hunt, will the cost of guys stop you from driving there everyday?

Cost me a lot last year hunting birds 4 days a week or so and traded birds for deer then. I can't imagine yet this year but sure is hurting fishing and boating.

No long trips. I have to drive all week to my claims so I only go out on certain days to conserve.

Gas prices will have ZERO affect on my hunting plans.
Same here. I am very fortunate to live 15 Min. from all my hunting spots if not less.[up]

Some people I talked to say they rather save there money and just take week trip to an outfitter and get there deer and call it a fall bow season.
I would honestly never do that. To me its more about being in the woods as much as possible whether I get a deer or not. To each his own though. If it makes you happy then I would certainly do that.

With gas and toll, it costs me $20 a trip to get to my property. I'll just cut spending someplace else.

I mostly hunt 25 miles from my house, but I am hoping it'll have little impact on my hunting. Between coaching my kid's soccer on weekends and work, I tend to only get out every-other Saturday morning. If I need to strap my bow and stand on my back and ride my bike to Chester every Saturday, I WILL!!

I CAN'T AFFORD THESE GAS PRICES [mad][wallmad][wallmad] SO I have decided to QUIT HUNTING ALTOGETHER [cry][cry][cry]

My wife gave me hell last year for burning up so much gas hunting last year. I can only imagine what this year is going to be like. 4.19 a gallon here in Newtown PA. I gas up in Jersey usually it's much cheaper.

Significant impact for me. Both hunt and atv/dirt bike in Pa.

-Rifle Deer: I will always spend the first week of
December in 4A

-Archery: Thinking about hunting DWGNRA this year
instead of Pa, to save gas

-Birds: Dog died ... thats all up in the air.

-atv/bikes: no more day trips to Schuylkyll County,
Pa; only weekends (we have a campsite)
to save gas

I drive from Bergen County to the Water Gap to hunt. It's 70 miles one way, so I won't be hunting pheasants every stocking day. It won't really affect my deer hunting since I have a trailer up there to stay in overnight and get in a few days in a row.

Ill be hunting just as much only Ill be putting the Deer on the roof of my wifes car( 30MPG) instead of in the back of my truck(17MPG)
