I was at a party yesterday and someone there mentioned that she was pissed when she was handed the receipt and it was 10 cents more a gallon. This gas crisis is starting to get ugly.

The place by my work in Robbinsville NJ does that. Garden State Gas. Their prices are still about 30 cents a gallon cheaper than what I pay by my house in Newtown PA. 4.19 a gallon for regular. You know it's bad when the car companies are offering free gas for a year. 10 years ago that would have been only a 500 dollar benefit over the course of a year. Now it's thousands.

Only thing we do different for CC sales is make it nothing under $10.00. You must buy at least $10 to use a CC.

We have to pay a % on all CC sales to the company. If someone wants to charge a % or more money if someone uses a CC they have every right to do so. It is the shopper that has the choice the use cash or CC not the other way around.

When you pay with debit card it is the same as cash or at least it should be.

I believe merchants are charged a smaller transaction fee for debit card purchases.

A merchant also sees a "cost" of using cash, that increases with the size of the merchant: the management, the counting, the storage, the depositing, and the theft .... of cash.
