Geez...I kinda have an Ace thing going on here don't I????
Error: You cannot post more than 1 message in 45 seconds
Ace...see this much???

.Yup...there it is ACE...your boy Paul states:
Quote:
$31.50 X 30,000 = $945,000
I guess you left(by accident???):D out the IF there are say 30,000 (and 30,000 IS NOT 50,000 as Jakesbeard claimed anyway, but thanks for "playing")....posting a partial quote to Try to prove something is good entertainment though I will give you that!

There were over 500 addressed & signed postcards opposed to xguns
That's WAY "short" of the Over 700 F&G have from a Random Scientific survey......."YOU" slay me......

IMO

Your math and logic both really need some work, but that's OK the entertainment factor is great.....

Again.....

You have your right to your opinion. I sure wish you had facts to back up your claims. But you don't and your arguments are very weak on account of it.

Something to "ponder"....

Your points carry as much water as a bucket with a hole in the bottom of it. You have no facts, no science, no nothing.

Thanks.....

Now, back to the factual debate.....

IF the 51% success
lets say you get SOME
IF SAY the xgun hunters
We'll say
All your quotes are "what if"....What if you did some research in other states that have accepted the crossbows and get some hard facts from those states...these are recorded documated facts....What if you studies these results & found there would be minimal impact & all your misinformation & unfounded claims had no basis??..The pro crossbow community has data from states that you will not accept. All your data comes from your emotional crystal ball....What if you tried supplying some hard researched facts???

6??? Idon't know if you saw the poll on here about home NJ hunters are for or against crossbows in archery season

You mean THIS...

80=no

24=yes
Yes, I've seen it and expect all of 6 to actually take the time to write a single letter......and If All of them do,......... that's Stilnot a "drop in the huge bucket" to the over 700 Bow Hunters that Do support it!

In FACT that's "right in line" with the numbers the survey shows about that many oppose it, :D

[rofl][rofl][rofl][rofl][rofl]

BUMP

Last year, the law was changed to permit the use of crossbows by all archers,
and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency deer specialist Daryl Ratajczak said any initial negative reaction mostly has evaporated and hunter response has been overwhelmingly positive.

"We did a statewide
survey of outdoorsmen and one of the questions was

whether they thought the use of crossbows had a negative impact on hunting," Ratajczak said.

"Ninety-one percent said no."
91% said FULL CROSSBOW INCLUSION did NOT have a "negative impact on HUNTING".....

WOW........

In a few years you'll probably be able to scratch out Tennesse, and replace it with New Jersey.
In a few years, $4.50 a gallon for gas may sound cheap too. Doesn't mean it's really a good thing, more likely we just got used to the crappy conditions.

In just over a year, I'll be retired...with ALOT of time on my hands. In a few years, the question may be not if we should restructure the Council, but what that new structure should look like. ;) :p

Good point ! I believe this was brought up before. And I'm sure there are more politicians like Panter and Karcher that would be more than willing to help. Cause as soon as they smell the BLOOD of division, they will come around like Sharks.
And besides, the NJOA Rally's make for great get togethers.

Doug you know as well as I do that I have long been a proponent of a Compromise. Just check the past posts. But you and I both know that there are too many hard heads on BOTH sides that won't budge an inch. I proposed compromises that would preserve Fall bow, and I've even proposed a GRADUATED INCLUSION. This would "soften" their impact and allow time to study their impact.
But Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !
Nobody wants to hear it.

Pretty good reason to seek a compromise that brings people together, rather than just shove crossbows down everyones throat and say to hell with them, huh.
Guess compounds were "shoved down everyone's throat" also, 35 yrs ago?
ALL bow hunting orgs should be for ALL bow hunters, no matter which bow is used. UBNJ would "double" it's membership simply by supporting those bow hunters. That is "UNITY" and ALL get the "support" they are paying dues for, IMO.

the UBNJ supports what the real definition of a bow is period:D

paul the crossbow compromise although looked good to on the fencers was basically a full inclusion by 2010 thats not compromise that everything...crossbows for 55 or older whenever and everyone after thanksgiving i can deal with that...work on limits for a couple yrs then everyone if a 1 or 2 buck limit is proposed along with no unlimited does on public land...also for increased revenue 6 day hunters should pay a fee for their second buck...lets say a 28 dollar buck tag like us scumbag bow hunters

Doug , not so long ago…..when Paul and Ace(Jim) mentioned compromise……wasn’t it YOU who said “the UBNJ is not willing to or looking for any compromise at all, We don’t believe that crossbows belong in any bow seasons”???

NOW (that you know things are Not going “your way” ) you’re “willing” to talk compromise?????

And your side is trying to make it seem it’s the Pro side that never wanted to compromise…….[rofl]

WHY would the “pro side” even think about some compromise NOW? Everything is on OUR side, and when YOUR side was asked it was NO WAY EVER……..

Let’s be honest here, it’s NOT the “pro side” who has ALWAYS (at least up until the “writing is on the wall” had NO intention of compromise…….NOW Paul is correct, we’re NOT interested…….

Paul had previously mentioned compromise, and aceoky rebuked him for it.

As far as your allegations about me, you have no idea what you are talking about. Long before there ever was any crossbow proposal, I had a petition going to allow crossbows for anyone on a junior/senior license, a crossbow season, and crossbows for everyone after Thanksgiving. I've been saying that for about two years. I had about 140 signatures, including Mike (smack-a-deer) but the more people I talked to about it, the more resistance I encountered. That led me to believe there was not strong support for crossbows.

You and your out-of-state mouth-pieces have been the major obstacle to compromise and unity, not me.

You have no way of knowing if UBNJ would gain or lose members by supporting crossbows. And further, your statement that ALL hunters would be getting the support they are paying for completely ignores the fact that half the membership does not support crossbows. What about that half? Oh, I forgot, they don't count in your mind because only people who support crossbows count, right?

This thought process shows the problem with you and those who think like you Kathy...you don't acknowledge, or consider viewpoints other than your own...it's like they don't exist, and the people that hold them shouldn't exist either.

Just like you said...ALL hunters would be getting the support they pay dues for: so what do we call the other half of the membership that is not getting the support they are paying dues for...are they not hunters worthy of support they are paying for? Or is it that because they don't support crossbows, they just don't count in your mind?

And K. The UBNJ does support all bowhunters. I don't know where you got the information that it doesn't.
They support ONLY those BOWhunters who they APPROVE of. Trying to keep crossBOWhunters OUT is NOT supporting those BOWhunters; therefore, if they don't support crossBOWhunters, they don't support ALL/EVERY BOWhunter. They need to, and should, to gain more members.

Doug……….we both know that is not true….. but more than that IF I were to post up where YOU stated the UBNJ would NOT compromise………what would that serve???

I am well aware of the petition YOU passed around…..didn’t go “anywhere” in reality did it Doug?????

As for “out of state mouthpieces” maybe YOU are “jealous” because THEY have more experience in this matter than YOU have???

Thanks for avoiding THE question:

DID YOU not state: the UBNJ will NOT compromise at all WE don’t want crossbows in ANY bow seasons or NOT?

Simple question Doug and one YOU won’t avoid (for long) as it IS saved for proof………
