I watch. I learn. My first date with my boyfriend (5 years now) was "Jul - hold this rope hard while I hang this deer." And I did. I haven't actually hunted because if I'm not talking, I'm reading - sort of defeats the purpose, right? But I have become the best jerky maker and I am learning how to cut up the deer - and I love it. I am the official grinder and jerky maker. And I fight for that position. 12 hunters every season - and me. I love it.

Welcome Julieahavenmann. Would that be the Ridgerunners of Merril Creek? Nice to see another lady here.

"We" call ourselves the Ridgerunners - we are from Oak Ridge - and these guys are hunters. We have our own basement butcher shop -- but everything is done by the book. I am learning how to cut -- I want to learn how to skin out a dear -- I think its great. Most girls I meet are a little squeemish -- but I think its cool.

I thought everyone went to sleep - I got 50 views on my posts and 5 replies. I am new to this - and I hope I remember my password tomorrow so that I can talk again. I have to be honest - I have a little buzz, but my friends and I got on this site because we were arguing about hanging a deer - and I am the only one computer literate. So now they are playing darts and I am talking. They haven't said anything to me yet - cause I run my own mind - I just want to give them some good information. They are used to me. Sorry I digress.... If I stick around I promise to make more sense...
