NAP Spitfire v.s Rage Expandable's (Black Ice)

Hey Guys,

I received my Diamond black ice a week ago. I love this bow, it is a far stretch from my old high country. I am now trying to decide which broadheads to go with. The package came with the ABC liberty fixed blades (100gr), but I have heard great things about the Rages, and also the NAP spitfires. Any opinions/evidence. Thanks.

Have used both and I prefer the spitfire,better built and stay closed on the rest,take a look at the NAP Scorpion , maybe best of them all.

I have used the Rage boradheads this year with Excellent success. I had a pass through at 49 yards out of my Guardian on my 9 pointer. I killed a big 8 also and he didn't go 10 feet before the RAGE 2 blade dropped him. 3 does dropped within 20 yards.. I will agree that they are a pain in the ass to keep closed though while stalking. If the blades touch anything, they open up..

Used both with great success out of my 70lb Black Ice! Going FIXED HEAD because you can resharpen them, keeping the cost down!

I love the rage and had amazing success. I had bad results with the split fire not giving much blood from the entry hole.

The broad head debate find one that shoots straight out of the bow I use MX4's My Buddy use's the rage I shot 2 deer(MX4) that dropped with in 40 yards.. My buddy shot 3 deer with the rage (2 bade) that all died with in less than 60 the key is find the one you can shoot the best .. All broadheads work..

I think if I were in the market to try a new screw in type broadhead, I would try the hell razor or razor caps.

RAGE BABY! Both heads perform well but the rage has an advantage in that they deploy fully before they enter.

i used rage with great success when they did not open in flight however i did have some bad results with the rage i was told they are fixing the problem about the blades opening in flight. i am going back to fixed blade Razorcaps[up]

I know this wasn't the question, but I've used Wasp Jak-Hammer-SST with fantastic success. They have always stayed closed in flight, always opened on impact and I've never had a deer run far after being hit with them.

Rage is a great head as is the spitfire....the specs on the bow such as draw lenght and weight and arrow weight will detremine how well the spit's will work for you.

When they work as claimed. To many chances for a problem with the rage and not worth the money[down]

My draw length is 27" and weight is 70#. How about in the way of fixed blades? I was also looking at the Magnus stingers, and the slick tricks. The stingers have a lifetime guarantee. If you break em they send new ones for free, and I've heard they have really good customer relations.
