Well never being a fan of expandables. I must say Rage is a extremeley impressive head. I shoot right thru shoulders and bone!! The only bad part is the price and truely seems to be a one shoot deal! this is the winter bow buck i got. The exit hole is visible. I broke both shoulder and the arrow but deer was snow plowing instantly. I took him right off his feet..Don't get me wrong I still shoot razorcaps and Max4's but I'm a fan a the Rage 3 blade.

never used em never will muzzy only for me if it isnt broke dont fix it i never lost a deer when shot in the vitals since i switched 5yrs ago...not bashin just heard bad things about mechanicals and one time not opening is too many IMHO

I shot muzzy 3 blades for years. Even with them once I shot a deer I threw them away.
Sorry, but I cant see the logic in that.

I shoot HellRazors and I clean them off and resharpen them after each use. I even practice with them and resharpen them.

I killed 12 deer this year with 6 broadheads[up]

Didn't ask you to see the logic in it did I ? Did I say anything bad about you for being cheap and not buying the RAGE ?
Take it easy. I wasnt being argumentative at all. I was just commenting that I have been sucessful in re-using broadbeads.
How did I know someone would have to quote me?
How else can someone respond to something you say? This is a discussion board....its not a negative thing everytime someone quotes you.[spy]

Sorry then [up] I took it the wrong way and some times it is hard to READ what someone is saying.

Reason I throw heads away after the shot is I just would not have faith my head is as sharp as it could be. I would be worried if a blade has a bend or something. I will not reuse an arrow either. I still shoot logs and not carbons.

If I shoot a deer I willmark the cock with a black dot and that is a taget arrow to practice with.

Again sorry I did not read your post the right way !

I hunted with 2blade Rages in Alberta this year.

Till I hit the shoulder blade on a 170"+ Buck and didn't get him.
They are a very accurate head and I couldn't figure out why I hit the shoulder at 25 yards. Then I started hearing guys complain about them opening upon release...I don't know if that is what happened but I do know I stuck a huge buck in the shoulder and didn't get him. If one blade opens and not the other...It will definatly have some effect on flight.

I've used them...I like them...But they need slight refineing, before I will use them again.

Again sorry I did not read your post the right way !
No sweat[up]

Many times, the average sharpening and stroping gets a blade to the same if not better sharpness as when you opened the package.

Also, you should get an arrow spin tester like this one...

By spinning the arrow you can see a wobble in the head or the arrow and can disgard either if they are bent. Sometimes an arrow spins true but the head will have a wobble in it, usually because of a bent ferule. If an arrow is bent you will have to put the head on a strait arrow to check its condition.

This will be my last post since I do not want to Hijack Wackems thread.

Chris I have been bowhunting almost 20 years now. I have or have had all the tools . I am one of those suckers that will buy anything just to give it a try. I love to spend money when it comes to my hobby ( well not everything would never buy a trail camera out of the store ).

I had a bitzinburger jig and just gave it to Matt , BowhunterNJ . Not worth it to me I'll just buy new and give the arrows to someone that wants to redo them. I have the spin tester and will spin new arrows just to make sure. Have the bench top bow press and the stuff that goes along with bow hunting.

I just choose to hunt with new arrows and heads.
