Hi all. New to the forum and new to turkey hunting. I have a couple of questions I hope some of you can answer.
#1.What do you guys prefer to shoot. Ported or non ported chokes and why you like shooting them.

#2 How the heck do I keep my mouth call reeds from sticking? When Im done using them I rinse them off with cool water and use tooth picks to seperate the reeds but it seems like as soon as I take the tooth picks out the reeds still stick [wallmad] I have seen a product out called Diaphresh. It is supposed to eliminate these problems. Has anybody seen or used this product or do you think its just another B.S. gimmick.

Don't I know it,I'm taking my buddy out this year for the first time,I want him to get one,he told me that he doesn't want to shoot a jake so I have my work cut out for me,he only put in for Saturdays.

Plotts can you explain what you do here?

The tissue paper (like in a gift box) over a plastic sheet. The plastic I use is laminate. The tissue slips in w/o digging the latex. But I get the mouth calls by the hand full & go through them hunting everyday of the season.

ditto

I use my mouth calls from year to year and I find that keeping them in the fridge on the off season keeps them fairly fresh. I do find that they stick together but after a minute in my mouth they break apart.

Welcome to the board
