I started keeping a journal in 1985. Missed a few years here and there but have them pretty consistent from 1992 till this year. I started one this year, but have not kept up with it. I will probably do a summary of the season from memory with some pictures in the next week or so. That is not as good as keeping it every day, but it's better than trying to remember what happened 10 years from now. The sad thing is, when I look back, I know how good hunting used to be in the areas I hunt, and can see just how bad it's become.
The good ole days are certainly gone from the typical farm or woodland setting hunting landscape Now, unless you are hunting in someones backyard or some other off limits, protected area, big deer are about as hard to find as an albino rattlesnake at the North Pole.
