While hunting with my brother I think I figured out a better way to deal with the 1/2 mile walk in. We carried in our stands, guns, climbing sticks, etc.

Plus if I get a deer it is gonna work out great.[up]

So...if you see it stashed in the bushes, don't steal it!

No not for this stand. It is a cleared foot trail heading in. Thought it would be noisy too but the blanket deadened the metal.

True it can't be dragged into a swamp

A couple of years ago I picked up one of those orange plastic 4' kiddy tobogins to drag my daughters and my stuff to and from our stand in the snow. $10.00 well spent.

we have a handcart that we put bicycle wheels on and built a solid bottom and sides out of plywood. works great for carrying deer out. much better than a wheelbarrow. [up]

Actually in a spot I hunt on public lands there is a wheel-barrel hidden off a path that has been there all season, I also use to use a handcart years ago myself to help bring in and out my gear [up]

I bought on of these a few years ago and it works great on snow and in swamps. I welded up a u shaped bracket to stiffen up the side so I could haul heavy loads in it too.
