bigsteve I,m from ct an care very much about all land.My car is parked with ct plate an mainly hunt alone so I have to keep mouth shut .Grandfather an Grandmother from Italy also, mother side from maine with red mans blood in my veins. GVS might see a city mans form but my heart beats like an indian drum. You know its very true white man speaks with forked tongue. Some times I invited people from public land to hunt over my dog so I could try to instill or see if they had ethics. If we care then we share, if we dont care we wont share.Take what you need an share the rest.

Guys it takes all kinds, I've seen "locals" from my very small home town be slob hunters as I have met some very nice guys from very urban areas, it all depends on how you were raised and your personal ethics. I was just busting bigsteve.

I rarely pick up my own hulls. I'm too busy focusing on the down bird and the dog. However, I make it a point to pick up more of other people's than I shoot.
Same here when I shoot my semi-auto... it's tough to find them afterword, especially when I'm concentrating on the dog and downed bird. But when I shoot my O/U, I bring all mine out and more.

Hey guy's I read this site alot I know you didn't mean any certain group. Just got gun shy with that outta state an flatlander talk. A guy just wants to see the dog gaming feel heart thumping an the sound an sight of wings. Did I mention the scenery, scents an sound of the outdoors enviroment

He who has never cast a shell anywhere you get a gold plaque and your better than me because I have plenty of times lost shells. Most I pick up and especially on our leases but some do get away in excitement with pumps and automatics especially waterfowl shooting? Tom I hear your point and we all should make an effort to clean up after the hogs other wise it would me worse than ever. As for a signaling out certain nationalitys don't see how that should be factored in. Outsiders from out of state have the same right as anyone else since they bought the licences. At least we hope they have a licence, right? Who's around to check? As far as unruly types from differant areas there's good and bad in both in all areas so we have to be carefull with that thought. Steve I don't beleive in being outnumbered because if you got something to say to them then say it not in an antagonizing way unless your ready to runble. The Spartans were out numberd and could have one if they weren't sold out by a spy.

Trash should be picked up and I always keep plastic bags with me and take stuff out in them and discard. I once cleaned up some drunks beer cans who left me use his stand and he got poed but I knew it looked better and I hated looking at those beer cans. If I didn't know better I would have thought it wasan aluminum recycle site it was so bad. Discusting.

This is a problem that is escalating and I guess unless we clean up and help to clean up as well it won't get done. One thing I can say for NJ at least for the most part the roads are fairly clean from the prisoners hard labor I guess.:)

I've been slacking off by not picking up more then my share, but starting today I'll be packing out more then I pack in and only leaving my foot prints behind. Thanks for the reminder that we are hunter and represent all hunters in our actions.

Sometimes you can get sprayed by pellets in a crowded area. Its when you see orange out in the disance in the direction of the birds flight can they let it go. Many of the slobs we have talked about are dangerous because they cant see past thier finger tips. Garbage after it leaves the hand isn't seen. You can bet a bird is all they see an nothing else.Shooting glasses are needed in these areas.
