Yeah everybody has different beliefs and rules about hunting on sunday but why should I only get to hunt on Saturdays.I'm not going to take a day off during the week when I can be making money. Of Course my B-day is the during the permit shotgun week SO I plan on taking that day off for myself but other than that It's the only day I take off. Otherwise I'm working

Sunday's would be another chance for me to get a Buck or a Doe. This state is making it harder for people to live here let alone hunt here. $28 dollars for a buck permit. It's just another way for them to make more frggin' money.
They cry more money more money while the politicians are stuffing thier pockets. Well they should take some of that money and put it to good use. F them they don't need to make all of that money. what for so they can put it in the bank and make more money off of it. why should the middle class and lower class suffer. They should be lining our pockets with money.

it would be great if a guy had to work sat he still has a day to hunt i know know i get out of work to late to do a afternoon hunt i work till 630 pm most days so that kills that but the non hunting public has its points aswell i think they were proposeing w.m.a and private only no state parks so the non hunters have a day to them selves

It's nice that that is YOUR belief...but it's not everyone's. You are entitled to NOT hunt on Sunday, why should the rest of the state not be able to?
exactly why should someone that doesnt believe in fairytales not be allowed to hunt? Its not against anything they believe in.
I personally think the only church I need is the outdoors! And in this case of Sun. hunting this law prevents me from attending!!

Bottom line, NJ is an "anti" state. Not hunter friendly. The politicions get their money from anti's and developers. The developers need "our"hunting land to build on.They work together, even though sportsmen contribute more money it goes to the state not in a politicians pocket

I think they should allow Sunday hunting. I already hunt pheasants every Sunday, why not deer?
It doesn't affect me as far as working and not being able to get out but I know a lot of guys that can only hunt Sat because of work. For them an extra day in the woods/field would be nice.

Personally I don't think we'll ever see it. [mad]

Give respect to the animal you are persuing .They need a day off too!!!
As long as you can get the coyotes and other predators to give them a day off as well as the hikers, horseback riders, birdwatchers and everything else that makes a deer run. Wait, deer are PREY, they would have died off long ago if they took a day off. Ridiculous.

id hunt on sundays if they let us, but i wouldnt fight to have sunday hunting
Take. Take. Take..... Ridiculous.

SUNDAY is the lords day no hunting for me
I can fish, play sports, work, shop, read, fornicate, pray, sit on the couch but I can't hunt? Ridiculous.

Although the fees are crazy, I would pay the extra to hunt on Sunday. Like most I work Mon-Fri and being able to hunt both days would be great.

Even if we just started with bow hunting because the shooting may bother non-hunters, I would take it!

will everyone stop with the "I'd pay" ? IT SHOULD BE FREE WHY WOULD YOU SAY YOU'D PAY EXTRA?

And doesnt the shots bother the nonhunters everyother day of the week. Why do we need to cater to others?
We already cater to the religous now[wallmad][wallmad][wallmad]

my honest opinion it would be good for guys who only get to hunt saturdays especially when sat is a crappy day i could live with it or without it i would rather have the foot rule changed for bowhunting

Well you can hunt on Sundays in a semi-wild just not anything other than Pheasanst,Chuckers or Quail. So for those that hunt in clubs that's good.
That is based on a put & take system. That's why it's allowed. Birds are stocked & tagged when taken. if tags pass the stocked # of birds in a season the permit WILL NOT be issued the following season.
Do you guys understand how seasons are established? They are set up based a harvest. So if you get sunday hunting it WILL NOT add more days afield. The season will start later or end sooner. So in the current seasons if we have weekends with storms or personal commits. You miss one day of hunting. Under a 7 day a week season. You would be tradeing those weekends for entire week. I'd rather be in a long run vs. a shorter sprint.
