I finally released an arrow today...[up] Decided to hunt the AM today and hopefully get a crack at a decent buck. I climbed the stand in the fog and settled in. At 6:30 I grunted softly a few times..At 6:45 I got a bit more aggressive. I finished up the calling with doe bleat. Not 10 seconds after, this buck comes charging out of the cedars![eek] He is at 10 yds with ears pinned back and sniffing the air! He calms down and walks off to my left and stops,,,broadside[up] Back comes the Matthews and whack! Down he goes...16yd shot and recovery... Not a bad day.[smoke]
