I also ended up sleeping in. Got up at 5 and it was pouring. I'd like to get out after lunch.

I slept in as well. I dropped my work truck off to get tires. As soon as it is done I will be heading out to hunt the rest of the day.

Going out in the PM.
you're all wimps!! I went out this morning and got poured on. Before light I had 2 deer under my stand - but I dont know if they were does or bucks. around 8:30, I started hearing lots of shots coming from the field near my stand. they seemed real close so I was not comfortable sitting there. I left and went to another spot of public land to try to stalk a buck since the ground was wet. I got near 4 does but saw not bucks. lots of scrapes and rubs though[up] on my way driving out on a gravel road, I saw a small 4 pt hobbling accross the field at me. It looked like his front leg was broken. I got out of my truck and walked within 10 yds of him. I thought of shooting him to put him down but I didn't want to waste my buck tag yet. I felt real bad for him though- he was just hobbling down the road. Im not sure if he got shot, or if he might have gotten hit by a car. If hes still alive later in the season Ill shoot him

2 small doe's .. puling out the second set of gear for this sfternoon. and using a air compressor to dry the bow out!! my jobs suck so I'm now hunting in hurricanes!!!

worked in am going out in pm did see 2 smaller bucks w/ does in the field in ringoes on way to flemington to work

same here thank god i had my tree unmbrella not that it helps when the rain is blowing sideways, i saw two small bucks 6 and a 4 and two does

I was up at 5:00 and watched it Pour Rain. Turned on teh weather channel, and the radar showed heavy rain till noon. So that was that.
I have a party tonight. So no PM sit for me. Too bad-rain just stopped-it could be a great night with buck's freshing scrapes everywhere
