My buddy was driving up 208 north today in the Am to work in wayne... Said that in the Franklin Lakes Section so a big 8pter hit by a car dead...... wished he had a saw to get the horns.... what a shame that this got hit!!

Im dispatching now.... trying to get on local now... i live in westwood now... im gonna pay for my ptc i either essex, cape may, or morris acad. I can't stand waiting any long haha.... being a part time dp kills me.. n then i have a crapy office job... def not using my college degree i got while playing college football paid for it.... where are you from and hunt?>

·From Lodi, hunt in Montague. Took me 8 years from the day I took the first test to get hired, I came very close to getting hired by Ft.Lee when I was 19. Been on the job for 11 years, all I can say is, take as many tests as you can, I was hired 4 years ago for PIP, but the money just wasn't there, but I do kick myself for not taking it, also I was hired for BCSD, money is great but at the time they wanted me to make up the 8 years I had already invested, so I would be doing 33 years, after 30 years you add nothing to your pension. I went to Essex County Academy, and also Sea Girt. The key is getting your pension Started, if it means getting into corrections (county or state) then do it......Best of luck[up]
bowhuntercop..... im always hunting up at my buddies places in west milford.. since we are kinda local.. always look for someone to go... let me know if you wanna go sometime... i know its who u know my grand father was the chief of washignton twp for 30 some odd years.. im just waiting for them to have spot.. i coach the rec football program and do all kinds of volunteer work just so i can have a my foot in the door... im going friday and sat morning.... its an easy hunt... walk 10 mins from ur car throw up ur climber and ur good to go

·thanks, but I have a place I goto, 2 mile stroll from my truck[wallmad]. Well the way DOP works it is more then who you know or blow, years ago as long as you passed the test and you knew the chief/mayor you got hired, but now with the NAACP sueing the towns, you have to do well, plus remember those heros that fight for all of us in wars get first crack on getting hired as it should be. Don't ever sell yourself short, take as many tests, and mark off all fields on the list, get that pension started

·I took the test for them 5 years ago, I came in #2, they hired just one[wallmad]
they are hiring 1 or 2 def.. my friend who in maywood says.. they aren't sur ebut have a few retiring by the end of 2008 so they have a list they are making to.. so next time no test... so who knows in the mean time tho.. i need to get a better job.. PT dispatching isn't paying the bills...
