Who carries a business card with them in the woods?

Would be pretty stupid or very careless to drop it.

Almost sounds like a set up, on someone else?

Good luck.

That is why I decided not to leave my stand up in there. There are so many hunters and it is a small area. Guys know where the stands are and not everyone out there is a good guy.

I was thinking of heading out there tonight after work, I would get there about 5:30, It's late to get into the woods to begin with- I dont want to try to hang the stand too.....if I see no trucks in the lot I might just set-up on the ground.

Not to ruin your parade but there are ALOT of anti's that go to 6 Mile Run, so don't be so quick to blame a hunter on this one. A fellow Waxobe member of mine hunts there and he tells me all the time about the run-ins he has with the anti's.

Set up...people do suck, last week i went to check a portable on private land i hunt and to my suprise it was gone! Along with my climbing sticks. The worst part about it was that the stand belonged to my best friend who passed away.

If you steals someone stand don't drop your business card at the base of the tree with all your info.
too convenient for a thief to drop his business cards at the base of a tree of which he just stole the stand. Granted there are some really stupid thieves I don't think that's the case here. Just another A-hole hunter that wants you out of the area is my guess. Give it some time and see who sets up in the area. Chances are it will be him. [down][down]

I feel sorry for SOB. He has no idea of the world of S**t that is about to come down on him. Go get him WS!!!!
this guy deserves everything he gets ,there is no reason to take someones stand when they are so cheap

I agree it does sound like a set up. but atleast you have a name on the card to try to get to the bottom of things. I know how aggravating it is to have a stand stolen and have a prime locaction blown. If you find the guy who stole it, unleash fury.......this a/hole needs to be taught a lesson

wackem,
I hunt 6 mile. About two weeks ago my buddy had his ladder stand stolen (yoda knows him). Another stand by that one was also taken. I think it was on a sunday when it was taken. I was out on sat and everything was ok. The other stand was up for two years and nobody messed with it and now it's gone. I have two spots in that area that I take my climer in and out with me and one spot I have a lock on at that I leave. I almost had a run in with this guy at this spot. Another hunter who thinks he own's the area. I think I know were your at. I could be wrong though. PM me if you like. I would really like to stick it to this AH. We have a small group of good guy's there that work to gether. We dont need this.

i have had several stolen through the years.it makes your heart sink when you walk into the woods and find your stand is gone. years ago there were teens going into the woods at night following tack trails to find stands to steal to make money. i hope you get your stand back. if its a wildlife management area i would be careful though. if you admit to leaving a stand up without taking it down you may get yourself in trouble$$$.i wish someone would come up with a tracking chip of sorts.
