Does anyone belong to or have any information on gun or hunting clubs in NJ? im looking to join one and was wondering what my options were and what the average dues are for each
i belong to barbertown sportsmans club.
lease properties in zones 8, 11, and 10
club dues are $400 initiation fee plus $875/year
in addition you must make 2 mandatory meetings, and 2 of 8 other meetings (if you dont they charge $50 ea meeting)
do 8 work hrs / year (or pay $25 / hr)
sell about $200 in raffles/function tickets (beef steak) if you dont sell them you buy them
you must contribute to at least 1 of our 2 trap shoots a year, or pay a fee of $25. (if you shoot its $10/rd bring your own ammo)
all in all, were loosing property in the general area, and are taking in members for money so we can get property that is a little farther from the club's base in barbertown NJ.. each member just got accesed $50 this year because of property taxes going up... been doing fund raisers more and more each year to help out. we should be in good shape next year now that we know what to expect for taxes..

I belong Walnut Valley Sportsman and am also on the exec. board dues in New Jersey are anywhere from 400.00 a year to couple thousand depending on the size and range of the club. Hope this helps, we are not taking in members at this time. Oh, and most clubs have a waiting list.

We lease 400 + acres in zone 8 and 12 and we bring in new members that have been sponsored and participate in 5 club functions before they are voted on (Getting to know you). We have a very low turnover rate and a waiting list. Prices vary in NJ, but we charge $400. per year/ $125. initiation. We may be on the low end of the dues scale, hope this info helps in your search.

I belong to Goose Pond Sportsmen Club.
Init fee/ + dues 180 per year.
Mandatory two dinners and a work party. The more the better.
Location Tabernacle, NJ
Involved in Youth Hunting, trap shooting, all types of hunting and fishing.

I belong to a club in south jersey 250/yr we hunt 6day together then most of the jan doe days...We hunt state ground but we do pretty well for a club with only 30 memebers...Its a great time we have alot of fun shoot me a pm if you are interested
