if someone else bought the gun and he is in posession of it
You're assuming the firearms were REGISTERED. In most places in the US they are not. You're also assuming he obtained these firearms through illegal means.

In NJ, in order to take ownership of a firearm you must fill out the appropriate paperwork (certificate of eligibility if private sale) or in the case of a handgun a handgun transfer form (not the official name). This can all be done privately, NO REGISTRATION. (although the handgun form is a form of registration).

If you are a resident of most states in America (not including NJ) firearms sales from one resident to another (private) is just like buying any other item. You walk up to a person selling a firearm, hand them a form of payment and take your firearm. No registration. No forms to fill out. God bless America.

this is not a good place to post this particular accomplishment
Why not? I thought that maybe I was helping other people like me --- not real criminals, but are still prevented by NJ's wacko gun laws to exercise my Second Ammendment right. If I lived in Pennsylvania,or another state, I could buy guns ---- I would pass the NICS(National Instant Criminal Background Check System). I would also pass any additional parameters (usually domestic violence issues) that certain states (including Pa) add to the NICS check. Only NJ, where you have to get a FID to buy a frigging little Crosman pump BB gun, prevented me from buying a gun.

Expungement has been discussed many times on this forum. The stupidest, most minor infractions (including the most minor of disorderly persons offenses handled in Municpal Court, or even handled through the mail by mailing in a check (fine) along with the ticket (summons)) can prevent you from receiving a FID in this stupid state.

Even the state of NJ realizes that expungement is something that is needed. You can NOT expunge any serious crimes .... manslaughter, rape, arson, robbery, perjury, public official corruption, the majority of drug offenses, etc etc., and you have to wait up to a decade before you can petition the court.

NJ would rather just disarm every citizen in the state. I started this topic thread to encourage people not to let the corrupt, cowardly democrats in Trenton trample on their Constitutional Rights.

Nothing like telling the whole world that you broke the law buy acquiring firearms illegally.

Ever think of what the Statute of limitations on that might be ?

I'm not trying to break em for ya, but think before you type. You never know who's reading these posts.
I know you're not busting my chops. All our guns were purchased legally. And, if I were to sell a gun, I would insist on the other person having a FID and we do the Eligibilty Form. Though I may disagree with a law, I still don't break it ... I can't afford to.

The problem is either that or this guy down South. He has an identical first, middle, and last name and a somewhat similar SSN. He is a rash on the police blotters of FL;La and TX. The last I checked he was in jail in TX.
That's frigging scary!

brian i just thought with the title of the thread and all the political crap lateley it may not have been the best place to put it. other people reading this site might get the impression that we all amy need expungments... just a thought..
