Anyone been fishing?

Having a good season so far. Had a big one on this evening but I was using a tiny net because I lost my regular one. Couldn’t get it in there! Funny the new one I ordered was at my house when I got home.😃

Been using my own homemade spinners, very happy with them.

they good eats around here? the trout where I'm at outside of jersey is solid but there's much more variety and (seemingly) less farming/stocking there

Trout fishing has been phenomenal for my son and I. Unfortunately, he lost a slob of a rainbow on the flatbrook yesterday.

@longbow: how do you make your own spinners? I've always wanted to try it.

What happened, break his line, what was he using?

For spinner making, just a matter of ordering the supplies, wire, beads, blades etc. and then making them. Only tools you need are some needle nose pliers and wire cutters. If you want to get into it I can tell you what I use for mine so you can the right size beads, wire etc..

I fillet whatever I keep to eat. Most are very good.
