telefante I'm in Garfield Bergen County...where are you located?

Once this baby gets put in the tree its staying there for the season...unless I have to move it to follow deer.

But I will def practice a bunch before I bring it into the woods...also got a new 20ft ladder stand I need to practice putting up.

Probably one of the most important thing's to remember.... If a friend goe's with you to hang the stand.... Tell him to get out from under the tree... Stand drop's while your hanging it and hit's someone under the tree.... That person is in a world of hurting....
Eh its going to be my brother no worries :p

deadbolt. these are the only stands i use, but i spring the extra loot for the lighter aluminum. best stand ive ever used in my opinion. no need for the extra strap. the only time i use the extra strap is for when i plan on leaving that stand up for a longer period of time. do yourself a favor if you plan on using an extra strap at the bottom. make sure you angle the strap down so it pulls downward on the stand. if you put it straight perpendicular to the tree it will cause the top strap to loosen..

I have a number of stands that chain on or strap on including Loc On, Screaming Eagle, Gorilla, etc. I have never added an extra strap and never felt I needed one BUT if you Deadbolt feel the need to do so to feel safer (AND THUS MORE CONFEDANT WHILE ELEVATED) than DO SO!

OBTW this is the stand I will be hunting out of alot this year I orderd it at the Harrisberg show after seeing it there VERY comfotable quiet and portable and it uses only one chain.
Neat part about it you can and I will order any number of chain/resepticles and move the stand around at will. http://www.huntingsolutionsusa.com/products/millennium.php

Thanks jakesbeard! Yea I think its more piece of mind ya know...for the majority of my hunting years its been from the ground just in the past few years havce I been climbing into a tree so i am still very uneasy about being 20-25 feet off the ground LOL. I'm short and fat no need for that combo to ever leave the groud so my mind wont let me be at ease EVER!

Thats a neat looking stand there...a sit all day type for sure. Looks comfy...no sleeping in the woods jake :p

Thanks for the pics bro. That stand is a beast. You could easily crawl into a ball and take a nap on that foot rest.

Where did u get those pics from??
Yea man...this weekend I will prolly bring it down so I can paint it up and gt it all ready to hang behind the house and practice out of!!! Maybe we do a test run of the ladder as well!

Those pics are from paterson mnt...thats the smaller one of the group...trying to get some pics of the big 7pt w/ split brow tines but the damn cops kik us out earlier and earlier every damn day!

Deadbolt,
Sometimes I have fairly bad back problems so that stand may just help me stay up in a tree for 2 or 3 hours on a bad day and all day if I'm having a good day and the acorns are falling or the bucks are rutting.

NOTHING WRONG WITH MORE SAFE! (Maybe 2straps is a better handle than Deadbolt?)[smoke]
