had all the bait you could want last night but as of 430 this morning they died so we siegned more this morning and went out ,we started off in 23 ft. of water and it took less than 10 min. for me to box the first keeper and I thought it was on ,but scrubby opened a can of woop ass and boxed the next five keepers up to 22 inchs, then we tried one more spot and I tried to play catch up on the first on I pulled the hook and then craig tried to dot the eyes on every keeper after that ,we should have both limited out today but we lost a bunch of keepers at the boat { me 3 } .It was a great day

Congrats on a good day, Charlie and Craig. After we saw you in the morning we went to the Sandy Hook Channel and tried the channels north of there. Tons of sea robins. a few shorts and one 20 inch fluke just off the tip of the Hook in deep water. We put some miles on the old tub today.
We ended up with five keepers, the biggest was 23 inches and 4.3 pounds. I got it weighed at Julians for the tournament. At the time it was in seventh place, but I don't expect that to hold up. The biggest by four o'clock was 6.5 pounds. Someone had to beat that.

Three of my buddies and I went out with a guy that I know out of a Rumson(barnacle Bill's Marina). We had a good day,we caught between 30-40 fluke with 14 keepers between 17 and 24 inches.I don't know anything about the area but we the best by the buglight(I think that's right) and along the nude beach. Gotta say, that nude beach is nothing like I expected, where's all the hotties that are supposed to be hanging at a nude beach? [hihi]

looks a little snotty out there too!
I really got hammered on the way in. The wind was quartering off the bow at 15 plus and we got SOAKED. I had to tightened up or replace a few screws that popped from the pounding. That's the joy of fishing in a small boat. The up side is I can go all day on 8-10 gallons.
I saw Charlies new boat and it looks sweet. I think he got a work out on they way in, too.

it could be his secret cuz he did it 2 times ,I tried to tell him that when white knuckel boating you cant sit ,he found out why .he had both hands on the ttop and had his head down like he was praying for a safe return :D

I wasnt white knuckling I was holding on with 1 hand..But I did get whacked in the nads twice..And weather its a fishing secret or not I'll pass on it happening agian..:D

Charlie, thanks agian for taking me out.. Hopefully we can do it again pretty soon.
