There's alot more good people than bad out there.
You continue teaching your daughter the right thing to do,and you'll have cherished memories of a lifetime! [up]

I hunt state land and I have never had a camera or stand stolen but I mostly use a climber and I walk farther in than most. I see deer just about every sit and I am picky on what I shoot. There is tons of state land that has good hunting on them, you just have to use your smarts and put some time in. Some guys are just plain lazy, the other day I walked in to scout a spot out and I shit you not there was a camera and a corn pile no more than 15ft into the woods. Some of the crap you see on state land is just plain comical!!! And if that person is on here I gave your camera the thumbs up so you know I was talking about you lol

If you're interested in joining a club in Central/North NJ PM me. I'm in a decent club with a lot of land.

Rather than give it up and take away that time you and your daughter enjoy together, try to shed light on it that those folks are not how true hunters out there act. You'd be doing a disservice to you both hanging it up, and the good guys out there getting out because of bad apples...well, it just leaves more room for more bad apples to spread...

I did ! Haven't hunted deer in over 12 years .....the last straw was stolen stands on private property ! Endless bull shit with antler hungry jerk offs ! Got back into surfing and loving every minute of it year round I might add , and got some bird dogs and hunt more birds than deer these days ..also private land in near Middletown has gone away with over development . Work in the city and Brooklyn, raising kids and there basketball games ,the time driving out to land, setting up and then get angry at the jerks walking around messing with your setup just wasn't worth it . I really do miss the good hunts and deer I have taken in my life , I hope someday I can find time and interest again but until then .....waves and bird hunting for me !

Use the bad behavior as a teaching oppourtunity. Those same people and behaviors are what she is going to have to deal with in the world outside the woods. Quitting just gives in and allows that to occur unchecked. If you enjoy that time and expirience push forward and strive to succeed in spite of the negativity.

Yon should not punish her for them a holes, she must like it and want to do it or she would not be out there, it is a great life for a young man or woman, keeps them off the street, just look for some other place there is tons of state woods out there, the place I hunt I almost never see a hunter, and look for some woods with no signs and knock on the door, all they can say is no, don`t take her hunting away from her due to some a holes, build some ground blinds, Good Luck to you and her.

You quit...they win, now there is one less hunter on the property they want to hunt.
Like others say, hunt public but go in further than the assholes. Assholes are lazy, they don't like to get more than 200 yards from the road.
