Hit Picatinny and the rockaway today. Caught 3 real nice rainbows at picatinny the biggest being 18" and 3 trout at the Rockaway 2 nice Bows and a small brown.

another good day..Looks like tommorrow will be a wash with the weather but I'll be back at agian monday...:D

Scrubby, What is the deal with Picatinny...Is it just for govt. employees? It is not that I want to go there...I just don't know about it. Was that brown a wild, stream born fish or is the state stocking browns already in the Rockaway? Was it "pink on the inside"?

Its funny the trout they stock at Picatinny are much more pink inside, And they are really beautiful fish the colors are just amazing the pics dont do them justice..

The brown looked like a hold over from the fall it was a nice orange inside..

Picatinny is open to active or retired military, gov contractors and DOD employes.. The only guests I can bring is imediate family Son daughter, wife ect..

They put a lot of really pretty fish in the various ponds and streams..

Arty i'm looking forward to fishing that spot with you, Just let me know when you want to go..[up]

They probably get the trout from a private hatchery. I guess that it is all about the feed that they get. Could it be about the depleated uranium runoff from the target range? [hihi]

NICE catch !!!!! you should of thrown that little guy back, you never know they may make till next year, I've caught a bunch out of the rockaway that have been in there awhile !!!! Usually catch and release, I heard they are going to make the upper part a NO-KILL next year.
